Parents

Knowledge is Power:
Don’t bury your head in the sand

What is web 2.0? What’s the difference between a chat room and a message board? Are your kids using MySpace or FaceBook page? Do you even know what it is?

As parents, many times we don’t understand the world of our kids, try though we may. The internet has become much more than email and web pages. It has also become a place where people network, meet, and even hook up. It has also become a dangerous place, where criminals and sexual predators can sometimes lurk. The internet offers all of us many new tools to be more productive, communicate instantly all over the world, and yes, meet and connect with other people. It is our duty as parents to understand this new world that our children have inherited. The following links will help you start that journey.
