I am a former Assistant United States Attorney in the Denver office where I focused on crimes against children on the Internet.  I am also the mother of four small children, who will soon be regular users of the Internet!  I am involved with the Internet Safety Foundation to help keep the Internet a safe place for all children.  I am currently the Vice President of Safety & Security for Fox Interactive Media, the parent company of MySpace.com., where I coordinate our interaction with Law Enforcement and our global safety efforts.  MySpace is committed to making its site as safe as possible for teens and devotes significant resources toward these efforts.  I hope to provide guidance to the Foundation about industry practices related to online safety, and to partner with the Foundation to spread the word about internet safety.

I am the mother of two teenaged daughters and became interested in Internet safety issues about five years ago when my older daughter, then in middle school, created a MySpace profile.  Concerned about my daughter’s misconception that information she posted to the World Wide Web was private and only accessible to the people she wanted to see it, I began learning as much as she could about Internet safety.  I happily accepted an invitation to join the Internet Safety Foundation Board of Directors hoping to educate other parents and teens who were as clueless as my daughter and I previously were about the issues.  I currently assist the ISF with marketing and promotion.  I also do marketing for the Denver law firm of Wheeler Trigg Kennedy LLP and am the Executive Director of the Wheeler Trigg Kennedy Foundation.
